Thinking Green Center

Associação BioLiving is a non-profit association, founded in 2016, whose motto is “Nature and Education for All”. BioLiving develops projects and activities mainly in the center and north of Portugal, but its main area of action is in the district of Aveiro.
One of its main objectives is to act upon nature conservation, through the ecological restoration of degraded areas, providing public and private entities the expertise on this field of work.
The association also aims:
i) to promote sustainability;
ii) encourage environmental citizenship and public participation in the defense of natural values, boost social economy and promote inclusion, peace and solidarity, using education, natural resources and nature protection as their trigger;
iii) to provide monitoring and scientific consultancy in the fields of forest, biodiversity and environmental education. BioLiving’s work essentially focuses on four main axes:
– Nature Conservation and Protection;
– Environmental education;
– Training;
– Social Inclusion and Involvement. Despite the practical actions of nature conservation and habitat restoration being a central component of Bioliving’s work, we believe that it is necessary to educate and train communities for sustainability and citizenship, both through non-formal learning and through technical and scientific training in the field of nature protection and biodiversity.
We not only use our ecological restoration work as a way to educate local communities for the environmental problems we are facing, but also as a practical learning platform (field work) for students and recent graduates in biology and for anyone else who wants to learn more about this area. BioLiving’s operating model focuses on the proximity with communities, municipalities, schools, companies and other NGOs. We believe that working in partnership with the stakeholders and populations facilitates the dialogue and the search for solutions for nature conservation and environmental education and their involvement and interest in environmental issues is more effectively promoted. Every year we involve more than 3000 participants and volunteers in our projects, events and activities and we work with many different types of audiences, from all ages (from children to seniors), always with the same goal, educate about nature conservation and promoting sustainable behaviours towards the environment. We organize multiple environmental volunteering programs and actions throughout the year where we involve hundreds of people (mostly young people) in conservation and ecological restoration projects.

In our “Green Thinking Center” we try to develop strategies to increase awareness and participation in the programme, fostering cooperation with local communities, other NGOs and local government institutions. Here we carry out the development and implementation of both the ebooks and the online trainings and other informations available at https://www.e-greenworld.org, share information about the project on social media, run online workshops and mentoring programmes to develop young people’s skills, promote international and internship opportunities, and create a green entrepreneurship programme. The ultimate goal is to empower young graduates and/or unemployed people to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the Green Thinking Centres programme and thrive in the green economy.

The short name Çeroki-Der Ecological and Life and English Village Club Association is located in the village named Tol in Mersin’s Mezitli district Kilise spring. It was established on 1.5 acres. Our association directly offers children and young people to experience the nature, biodiversity, ecotaic integrity and ecological processes and community-supported agriculture. As Çeroki-Der Project Team, we are at a critical point of a groundbreaking transition period from the Holocene Age to the Anthropocene (or Human Age), when human beings radically changed the terrestrial / vital world systems of the planet. The fact that we are faced with is the intensifying floods because of carbon emissions, climatic anomalies, droughts and fires those increase the heat of the globe, 5 people came together in August 2020 and defined the problem with the design-oriented thinking methodology and developed solutions on what the association can do in this sense. ÇEROKİ has huge experience in formal/non-formal education and training activities, skills development, knowledge dissemination and information exchange in both local and national level. ÇEROKİ project team has started to be in international events since September 2019 and worked on Erasmus+ projects – youth exchanges, trainings and contact-making seminars – focusing on youth employment, entrepreneurship and educational topics. But unfortunately has no experience in mobilities level but on virtual online training, that has developed their skills for the implementation of a large-scale projects.

ÇEROKİ is working youth related issues can have a lot to under the Thinking Green Center(TGC) initiative:

First of all, we would like to share what have learnt during the project and raise awareness on the program through social media, youth centers, community forums and educational institutions. Target group for these awareness campaigns can be job agencies, unemployment offices, and youth organizations in Mersin region.
Secondly, we want to help young people navigate the application process and ensure they have the necessary documents regarding technical support for designing projects.
Thirdly, we are eager to emphasize how the program can help them develop skills, gain experience, and create a better future in international cooperation.
Moreover; we would like to create our own Entrepreneurial program to reach more youth and learners using all the content shared via https://www.e-greenworld.org

We also want to design workshops to encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing among participants from local level to international level.
One more thing to do for youth is collaborate with local organizations especially with NGOs, business chambers, and government agencies to expand program reach and resources.
By implementing these actions, we can empower unemployed youth to take advantage of the Green Thinking Centers program and equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the green economy.

Plus, as training center for education staff from all over Europe in different fields (e. g. ICT, multiculturalism, sustainable development, e-learning, leadership, language development, enviornment, technology, and much more. With a deep understanding of the latest trends and technologies, we strive to continually shape and improve the digital landscape. As Preunec, our mission is to drive digital skills training and innovation accross Europe for both educational institutions and proffessionals, for the labor market and for all European citizens in general. Preunec also intends to cooperate with organizations from other countries to integrate new procedures, methodologies, and improved process for the validation of proffessional competences. In recent years, Preunec has been involved in many works related to sustainable development, enviornment, socio-cultural development and migration.

-Through the Green Thinking Center we would like to share the content developed through the project with the interested bodies who would like to work in this field. As Preunec we would like to raise awareness of the project through our social media channels, and company website.
Moreover, in order to increase awareness of the program, collaborations can be established with local communities such as sustainability and environmental organizations, business associations, and youth groups operating in the Berlin region.
-Young people can be brought together with local organizations in Berlin or Germany when it is required in order to strength local networks of young people.
-Young people can be provided with internship opportunities at the international level to gain experience and develop various skills tailored to their personal abilities. Similarly, supporting international education activities allows for the enhancement of young people’s entrepreneurial and green entrepreneurial skills. In this direction, it is possible to enhance the entrepreneurial abilities and environmental awareness among young people.
